The Challenge
The African creative economy holds immense potential, yet monetization remains a challenge due to limited industry structure, funding gaps, and lack of business knowledge. DICE 2.0 aims to address this gap by fostering meaningful discussions between creators, investors and policymakers.
The challenge is to develop a vibrant, engaging identity that captures the essence of Africa's creative industries, appealing to both creatives and corporate stakeholders. The design must stand out from DICE 1.0 by offering a richer, more immersive experience, while maintaining consistency across multiple assets, ensuring effective application on social media, invitations, presentations, and stage designs.
The Approach
To address the challenge of monetization in Africa’s creative economy, the design for DICE 2.0 focused on:
Creating a Vibrant Identity: I developed a dynamic design that incorporated elements from Africa’s creative industries that also appealed to both creatives and corporate stakeholders.
Enhancing DICE 1.0’s Visuals: I elevated the design to create a richer, more compelling experience, standing apart from the first edition.
Ensuring Consistency Across Assets: A cohesive visual system was created to ensure consistent application across social media, invitations, presentations, and stage designs.
This approach captured the essence of Africa’s creative economy and supported DICE 2.0’s mission to unlock revenue potential for creatives.
